Make a cute black cat paper bag craft with kids! This easy Halloween activity is perfect for preschool, kindergarten, and classroom parties.

Materials

  • Paper bag
  • Black paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Black construction paper
  • Purple construction paper
  • Yellow construction paper
  • Orange construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • White marker

Instructions

  1. Paint the Bag: Paint the paper bag black. Allow it to dry completely.
  2. Make the Ears: Cut two large triangles from black construction paper and two smaller triangles from purple construction paper. Glue each purple triangle onto a black triangle to create the cat’s ears.
  3. Create the Face: Cut out two yellow eye shapes and an orange nose. Add black pupils to the yellow eyes with a marker.
  4. Make the Tail: Cut a curved tail shape from black construction paper.
  5. Assemble the Cat: Glue the ears to the top of the bag, then add the eyes and nose to the flap to create the cat’s face. Glue the tail to the back or side of the bag.
  6. Add the Whiskers: Use a white marker to draw whiskers extending from both sides of the cat’s nose.
