Materials
- Paper lunch bag
- Black paint
- Yellow paint
- Paintbrush
- Black construction paper
- White construction paper
- Glue
- Scissors
- White paint marker or white crayon (optional for the mouth)
Instructions
- Paint the top 2/3 of a paper lunch bag black and let it dry.
- Paint the bottom 1/3 of the bag yellow to create the firefly’s glowing tail. Allow the paint to dry completely.
- Cut two large wings from black construction paper.
- Cut two antennae from black construction paper.
- Cut two large white circles for the eyes and two smaller black circles for the pupils.
- Glue the black pupils onto the white circles to make the eyes.
- Glue the eyes onto the front of the paper bag.
- Draw a smiling mouth below the eyes with a white paint marker or white crayon.
- Glue the wings to the back of the paper bag so they extend from each side.
- Glue the antennae to the top back of the paper bag.
