Materials
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup clear school glue
1 tablespoon contact solution (containing boric acid or sodium borate)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Blue food coloring
Blue and silver glitter
Mixing bowl
Plastic shark figures
Instructions
Pour the warm water and clear glue into a mixing bowl. Stir until completely combined.
Add the baking soda and mix well.
Mix in the contact solution.
Stir in a drop or two of blue food coloring until you reach your desired ocean shade.
Sprinkle in blue and silver glitter and mix to distribute the sparkle throughout the slime.
Stir continuously. The mixture will begin to pull away from the sides of the bowl.
Knead the slime with your hands for 2 to 3 minutes until it becomes smooth and stretchy. If it’s still too sticky, add a few more drops of contact solution and continue kneading.
Add toy sharks, seaweed, shells, or other ocean-themed toys for imaginative sensory play.
