Materials
- Toilet paper roll
- Blue paint
- Construction paper in blue, yellow, black, and white
- Scissors
- Glue
- Paintbrush
- Marker
Instructions
- Paint the toilet paper roll. Paint the entire toilet paper roll blue. Allow it to dry completely.
- Make Pete’s ears. Fold the top edge of the toilet paper roll inward on both sides to create two pointed ears. Glue the folded sections in place.
- Cut out the eyes. Cut two yellow eye shapes from construction paper. Cut two smaller black circles for the pupils.
- Cut out the tail. Cut a blue tail out of construction paper.
- Add the pupils. Glue the black pupils onto the yellow eyes. Draw a small white circle inside each pupil to create Pete’s eyes.
- Add the eyes and tail. Glue the finished eyes onto the front of the blue toilet paper roll. Glue the tail to the side of the roll.
- Make the whiskers. Cut several thin, long rectangles from black construction paper for Pete’s whiskers.
- Glue on the whiskers. Glue the whiskers onto both sides of Pete’s face.
- Finish Pete’s face. Draw a white nose in the center of his face, if desired.
