Materials
- Brown construction paper
- Construction paper in the colors of the Skittles
- Skittles
- Sensory tweezers
- Scissors
- Markers
Instructions
- Cut out a turkey body from brown construction paper.
- Draw a face on the turkey using markers.
- Cut out several feather shapes from construction paper, using the same colors as the Skittles.
- Arrange the colorful feathers around the turkey body.
- Place a variety of Skittles in a bowl and give the child a pair of sensory tweezers.
- Have the child use the tweezers to pick up one Skittle at a time.
- Encourage the child to identify the color of each Skittle and place it on the matching colored feather.
- Continue sorting until all of the Skittles have been matched to their feathers.
