Materials
- Cardboard
- Black construction paper
- White paint
- Paint markers
- Scissors
- Glue

Instructions
- Make the Frame: Draw a large rectangular frame shape on a piece of cardboard. Cut out the center to create an open frame. Paint the entire frame orange and allow it to dry completely.
- Add the Background: Cut a piece of black construction paper slightly larger than the opening in the frame. Glue it to the back of the frame so the black paper covers the opening.
- Create the Ghosts: Draw and cut out a ghost shape for each member of the family. Make the ghosts different sizes and shapes to give your portrait some personality.
- Paint the Ghosts: Paint each cardboard ghost white and let them dry completely.
- Add the Details: Use paint markers to give each ghost its own personality. Draw eyes, mouths, hair, bows, glasses, hats, or other fun details that represent each family member.
- Arrange the Family: Arrange the ghosts on the black background, overlapping some of them if desired. Place the taller ghosts toward the back and the smaller ones toward the front.
- Glue in Place: Once you’re happy with the arrangement, glue each ghost onto the black construction paper.
